The Energy Policy Group (EPG) is a Bucharest-based non-profit, independent think-tank specializing in energy and climate policy, market analytics and energy strategy, grounded in February 2014. EPG’s regional focus is Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Basin. Its analyses, though, are informed by wider trends and processes at global and EU levels. EPG promotes a technologically advanced, secure, environmentally friendly and socially acceptable energy system. EPG’s views are self-standing and science-based. It relies on the best available data sources, as well as on its own research into energy security and strategy, technology, markets, geopolitics and political risk.
The Stockholm Environment Institute is an international non-profit research and policy organization that tackles environment and development challenges. They connect science and decision-making to develop solutions for a sustainable future for all. The SEI Tallinn carries out applied research, stakeholder engagement and capacity building in the Baltic Sea Region and the EU. Areas of expertise include environmental governance, policy impact assessment, nature conservation, urban biodiversity, climate adaptation, renewable energy, transport, resource efficiency, waste management, sustainable development indicators, valuation of ecosystem services and analysis of market-based instruments.
The main focus of Energy Efficiency Centre is strategic energy planning and policy makers support, which is primarily oriented to fields of energy efficiency, RES, reduction of GHG emissions and reduction of air pollutants. They provide expert support for Ministries in the preparation of strategic and action documents in the fields of energy climate policy and policies on the reduction of air pollutant emissions by developing complex model tools for analysis and projections of energy consumption and emission development. The centre is the key actor for the development, collection and transfer of knowledge about efficient resource management at the intersection of energy consumers, state, energy providers, equipment and services providers, and other stakeholders due to our holistic approach including energy, environmental and business aspects of energy consumption and transformation.
